There have been 4 deaths and 279 new cases of COVID-19 in Kosovo in the last 24 hours. This has been announced by the National Institute of Public Health of Kosovo (NIPHK). During the last 24 hours, in the Laboratory of Molecular Microbiology in NIPHK and private laboratories with the RT-PCR method, a total of 1,775 samples taken from the HUCSK and the tracking of case contacts in the field have been tested, of which 279 cases resulted positive.
Within 24 hours, 4 deaths were reported with SARS CoV-2 positive. Death cases are from the municipalities: Suhareka 2 cases (89, 64 years old), Drenas 1 case (78 years old), Lipjan 1 case (76 years old). The total number of positive cases is 54,839 out of 203,693 people suspected of being infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus, while the total number of deaths is 1,392. During the last 24 hours, 441 patients have been cured, the total number of cured to date is 48,046 cases, while the number of active cases is 5,401.
