13 deaths and 444 new cases of COVID-19 have been recorded in the last 24 hours in Kosovo, reports the National Institute of Public Health of Kosovo (NIPHK). During the last 24 hours, in the Laboratory of Molecular Microbiology in NIPHK and private laboratories with RT-PCR method, as well as public and private laboratories with RAT method, were tested a total of 2,410 samples taken from UCHSK and tracking of case contacts in the field, of which 444 cases resulted positive.
Within 24 hours 13 deaths were reported with SARS CoV-2 positive. Death cases are from the municipalities: Gjakova 3 cases (82, 87, 73 years old), Prizren 3 cases (83, 75, 68 years old), Ferizaj 2 cases (71, 69 years old), Dragash 1 case (68 years old), Klina 1 case (74 years old), Peja 1 case (81 years old), Prishtina 1 case (78 years old) and Suhareka 1 case (43 years old). The total number of positive cases is 74,079 out of 335,123 people suspected of being infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus, while the total number of deaths is 1,668. During the last 24 hours, 452 patients have been cured, the total number of cured to date is 62,650 cases, while the number of active cases is 9,761.
