'VV, AAK-NISMA, LDK have candidates for MPs who have problems with the law'

The Vetevendosje Movement, the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo-NISMA coalition and the Democratic League of Kosovo have people on their lists of candidates for MPs who have ‘trouble’ with the law. The Vetevendosje Movement is first with 14 candidates, followed by AAK-NISMA with 8 candidates and the LDK with 1 candidate.

This was stated at a press conference organized by the Kosovo Institute for Law (IKD), the FOL Movement and the Initiative for Progress INPO, on which occasion the report: Integrity of candidates, rule of law and good governance: (Parliamentary Elections 2025: Analysis of candidate lists and political programs) was published.

Burbuqe Kastrati from the Fol Movement stated that the Vetevendosje Movement leads in the number of candidates for MPs who have problems with the law, with a total of 16 candidtates.

She said that AAK-Nisma also has candidates for MPs who have problems with the law, a total of 8 candidates, and LDK has only one candidate for MPs who has problems with the law.

Kastrati said that the criminal offenses for which the candidates for MPs are being accused of are abuse of official position, use of weapons, unauthorized possession of weapons, etc.
