Kosovo Police have arrested two people suspected of smuggling weapons in Prizren.

According to the police, the suspects were caught smuggling ammunition from Serbia to Kosovo on December 25.

“Two male suspects have been arrested, after they were caught smuggling ammunition from Serbia to Kosovo at a weapons range. During the search of the suspect’s vehicle and at a range, 13,368 gas cartridges, cal. 9x19, were found and seized,” the police statement said.

It further states that by decision of the prosecutor, after the interview, the suspects were taken into custody.
