A dispute between the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and the International Boxing Association (IBA) could lead to the exclusion of the sport of boxing from the Olympic sports program.

This problem arose because the International Olympic Committee requested the resignation of Umar Kremlev, who is of Russian origin, from the position of president of the International Boxing Association, which he refused.

If this situation is not resolved by the end of this year, then boxing may be excluded from the Olympic program, but the Secretary of the Boxing Federation of Kosovo, Latif Demolli, is optimistic that this will not happen.

Donjeta Sadiku's coach, Marjola Sallauka, has also expressed her fear of this situation. She told KosovaPress that boxing should remain an Olympic sport, as it is among the most watched sports in the world.

For the boxers of Kosovo, such a decision, according to Demolli, would be extremely harmful.

Otherwise, Kosovo was also represented at the Olympic Games in Paris in the sport of boxing with the boxer Donjeta Sadiku, who won the first fight but did not manage to enter the medal zone.
