The European Union Special Representative for the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, Miroslav Lajcak, has announced that Serbia has withdrawn the letter from Brussels deposited by the former prime minister Ana Bernbaiq, where it was emphasized in writing that Serbia does not implement some articles of the Brussels Basic Agreement and the Ohrid annex.

After the meeting with the chief negotiator of Kosovo, Besnik Bislimi on Friday, Lajcak underlined the need to unblock the implementation of the Brussels and Ohrid agreement. He said that the parties have agreed on a meeting at the level of chief negotiators in Brussels, but he did not give a date when it will happen.

He reiterated that the main bridge over the Iber River should be opened, but at the right moment and in coordination with the allies.

Lajcak said that with Bislim they discussed the agenda of the next meeting and the progress that can be achieved in that meeting.

He said that no party has withdrawn from the Brussels agreement and the Ohrid annex and that the same is valid and binding for Kosovo and Serbia.

However, he did not give a date for the Bislimi-Petkovic meeting.

As for the warnings of the Serbs about blocking the border points with Kosovo, Lajcak said that such a thing should not happen as it would have a negative impact on freedom of movement.

In the letter sent last year to the European Union by the former Serbian Prime Minister, Ana Bernabiq, it is emphasized that Serbia will not implement some articles of the Brussels Agreement and the Ohrid Annex, which mentions the mutual recognition between Kosovo and Serbia and the non-obstacle of Kosovo's membership in international organizations. /E.Zeqiri/
