The 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Kosova Police
Kosova Police today marks 25 years since its establishment.
On September 6, 1999, the OSCE Mission in Kosovo, in accordance with United Nations Resolution 1244, opened the Police School and began training candidates for members of the Kosova Police.
The first generation of candidates for members of this Service began training in this center on September 6, 1999. This generation numbered 176 members, who successfully completed the training and then began practicing police activity throughout the territory of Kosovo as the first police officers of this service.
As part of marking the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Kosova Police today, an open house is held (the Regional Directorates of Police and police stations organize the open house for citizens), the central ceremony at the "Emerald" hotel, Prishtina, as well as other activities.
