The president of FIFA, Gianni Infantino, met in France the president of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, with whom they also discussed the development of football in Kosovo, while he said that he felt privileged to have met with the first of the Republic of Kosovo.

"It was a privilege to welcome the President of the Republic of Kosovo, Dr. Vjosa Osmani, to the FIFA office in Paris. I previously had the honor of meeting Dr. Osmani during my visit to her beautiful country in 2022, and this was a great opportunity to follow up on those discussions", said the head of FIFA.

He added that the Football Federation of Kosovo has made good use of FIFA's support for the improvement of football infrastructure in Kosovo, reports KosovaPress. "We talked about how football can bring people together and we looked at plans to continue improving the sports infrastructure in Kosovo, which will support the country's talented young players in realizing their potential. The Football Federation of Kosovo has been making excellent use of the FIFA Forward programme and Dr Osmani clearly understands the importance of government support in the development of football to provide more opportunities for girls and boys to play our wonderful sport" wrote Infantino on social networks.
