14 years since the decision of the International Court in favor of the independence of Kosovo
Today marks 14 years since the International Court of Justice in The Hague announced the advisory decision, according to which the declaration of independence of Kosovo did not violate international law.
With 10 votes in favor and 4 against, the members of the International Court of The Hague had decided in favor of Kosovo, thus rejecting Serbia's request for violation of international law.
The decision was read by the President of the International Court of Justice at the time, Hiasashio Ovada. Kosovo declared its independence on February 17, 2008. /KosovaPress/
