The head of the Parliamentary Group of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), Abelard Tahiri, in a press conference raised doubts about the case of the disappearance and finding of samples of the activist Astrit Dehari.

He has called on the Special Prosecutor's Office to take urgent action to bring to justice every state official who had a hand in the disappearance of Dehari's samples.

He recalled that in December 2022, the news about the loss of Astritt Dehari's samples was published, but so far no one has given criminal or political responsibility regarding the case.

Tahiri has emphasized that the Parliamentary Group of the PDK has requested the formation of an investigative commission to reveal the truth about Dehari's samples. He asked Kurti, Konjufca and Haxhiu to tell who took and disappeared Dehari's samples for a year and a half and who returned them.

He also asked some other questions regarding the cases of fires that broke out in the IFM.

Tahiri said that they will start with the collection of 40 signatures for a session for the establishment of the investigative commission to reveal the truth about Dehari's samples.

He also called on the IFM not to fall prey to the Kurti government's games regarding Dehari's samples and not to destroy these evidences, as they should remain in the institute, as they constitute important evidence related to the case.

Tahiri also spoke about the possibility of going to new early elections, saying that the Vetëvendosje Movement and Prime Minister Kurti should respond positively to PDK's invitation to hold these elections on June 9, to get the country out of the crisis and EU sanctions.

He has expressed his belief that the PDK will win these elections and that the candidate for the formation of the new government will be the candidate of this party, Bedri Hamza.
