However, until they receive official confirmation, they will suspend work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cWe announced a strike yesterday due to low wages, because the government decision was not taken into account at the Rectorate. Today we are here with some workers and we have started the strike, but according to some information, the agreement has been signed and we are waiting every hour or every 10 minutes for confirmation of the agreement with the Rectorate. We are here, and we will not work until we have something official,\u201d&nbsp;<\/em>Gjinovci said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He also said that the current salary of these workers is \u20ac368, and they are demanding the implementation of the government decision on the minimum wage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meanwhile, the head of the Association of Private Sector Workers, Jusuf Azemi, provided more details about their demands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cAccording to the information we have, the increase has been signed\u2026 we are waiting for the company document, and the decision will be that they will receive retroactive payments for the minimum wage increase from 1 January, which they will receive in May, and from 1 July their salary will be in line with the Government of Kosovo\u2019s decision,\u201d&nbsp;<\/em>Azemi added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since they are now demanding a \u20ac600 wage, Azemi warned that in July there will be protests and strikes, as they say they will not stop at the minimum wage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From 1 January 2026, the minimum wage in Kosovo is \u20ac425 gross, up from \u20ac350 until December 2025.
