More than \u20ac30 million will be invested in 14 industrial parks in Kosovo over the next three years. This was announced by acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti during the laying of the foundation stone for the Industrial Park in the village of Frash\u00ebr in Mitrovica, a project valued at nearly \u20ac1 million. The ceremony highlighted the aim of creating more favorable conditions for production, investment, and employment, with a focus on technology, innovation, and value-added industries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to Kurti, the investment in the Frash\u00ebr Industrial Park is part of broader efforts to support Mitrovica\u2019s economic development and create conditions for production and job creation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIn this way, we are repaying a small part of the large debt we owe to Mitrovica, which has contributed so much to the development and culture not only of Kosovo but of the entire Albanian nation. And now we are returning this through an investment here in Frash\u00ebr, totaling nearly \u20ac1 million for this industrial park, where businesses from Mitrovica, from Kosovo, and also foreign investors will be able to operate, so that production increases and employment grows,\u201d <\/em>Kurti said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n He added that the government aims to modernize infrastructure for manufacturing businesses and boost exports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThe more businesses produce, the more conditions are created for increasing exports and substituting imports, improving the trade balance, and achieving overall socio-economic progress. Over the next three years, the Government of the Republic of Kosovo will invest more than \u20ac30 million in 14 industrial parks across the country, because we want infrastructure for producing and employing businesses to be as modern as possible. Here in Frash\u00ebr, works have already begun and basic infrastructure is being built, followed by additional infrastructure that will further modernize the industrial park and make it attractive for businesses,\u201d <\/em>Kurti said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Acting Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship, Trade and Innovation, Mimoza Kusari-Lila, said the government\u2019s focus is on increasing domestic production and developing value-added industries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWe as a government and ministry are committed to directly improving the trade balance, replacing imports with domestic products, and positioning Kosovo as a country that produces value-added goods. Products that do not compete with mass-production countries, but those that create added value.
