The total planned budget for the June 7 early elections amounts to 10,887,186.45 euros. This was announced during Friday\u2019s meeting of the Central Election Commission of Kosovo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The amount will be allocated to salaries and allowances, goods and services, \u043a\u043e\u043c\u043c\u0443\u043dal expenses, and non-financial assets. The budget plan was approved with ten votes in favor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During the meeting, the Council for Oversight of Public Information was established, chaired by Muharrem Nitaj, a CEC member from Alliance for the Future of Kosovo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He proposed that representatives of other languages spoken in Kosovo also be included in the council.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI would propose that since this council deals with informational products related to the election campaign, elections, and informing public opinion, and since this is carried out in several languages, the council should include representatives of the languages spoken in Kosovo: Turkish, Serbo-Croatian, Bosnian, and Romani. At least three representatives of these languages should be part of this council,\u201d<\/em> he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n CEC Chairman Kreshnik Radoniqi announced that representatives of three other languages spoken in Kosovo are already included in the council.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Meanwhile, CEC member from Vet\u00ebvendosje Movement, Alban Krasniqi, said that the council\u2019s mission is voter education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n At the meeting, the CEC also approved the recruitment and engagement of temporary staff, as well as the decision on compensation for overtime work, weekend work, and work on official holidays for the early elections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The formula for nominating members of the Municipal Election Commissions for the June 7 elections was also approved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Krasniqi said that meetings of the Operational Council had been held and several deadlines and timelines for the June 7 elections had been reviewed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cAs an initial activity, the receipt of the extract from the central civil registry from the Ministry of Internal Affairs has been completed. Political parties may declare participation from May 1 to May 7 and may register through coalitions. The application period for certification of other political entities registered as coalitions and independent candidates runs from May 2 to May 10. The drawing of lots for the order of political parties on the ballot will take place on May 16. The CEC will decide on the appointment of members of municipal election commissions by May 8. The period for changing polling center locations is from May 6 to May 16. Registration of voters outside Kosovo will take place from May 6 to May 17. The voter list for those voting inside and outside Kosovo will be certified by the CEC on May 20,\u201d <\/em>he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Voting by mail will take place from May 28 to June 7, while registration of persons with special needs will take place from May 26 to May 31.<\/p>\n\n\n\n According to the CEC, the appointment of council teams in counting centers will be made on May 22, while the accreditation period for observers will run from May 8 to May 30.<\/p>\n\n\n\n At the meeting, the CEC also announced that it has issued a new regulation regarding observers for the June 7 elections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The June 7 early elections are being held following the failure to elect the president.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" The total planned budget for the June 7 early elections amounts to 10,887,186.45 euros.
