We saw earlier that ruling majority MPs do not dare raise their hands to vote without first checking whether it says that it was not proposed by the opposition,\u201d<\/em> she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Afterward, Speaker of the Assembly of Kosovo Albulena Haxhiu responded to Musliu\u2019s remarks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cI was listening very carefully to MP Musliu and had you not mentioned that last part, of course I would have appreciated such a position and would have taken into account the aspect you mentioned when the matter comes to my office. But you revealed your intention, and I do not need to deal with this issue,\u201d <\/em>she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Vet\u00ebvendosje Movement MP Mefail Bajqinovci said that the draft law on Kosovo citizenship enables the diaspora to regain citizenship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cFor laws such as these, which are vital for the state of Kosovo, we must be especially careful to proceed through regular procedures,\u201d<\/em> she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) MP Albana Bytyqi also expressed opposition to the approval of the draft law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWe have seen the way it was brought forward in a rushed manner and without sufficient time or opportunity for it to be properly reviewed. We do not see it as reasonable to support such a law,\u201d<\/em> she stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Meanwhile, 71 MPs voted in favor, with no votes against or abstentions, for the Law on Social and Affordable Housing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n During today\u2019s plenary session, with 65 votes in favor, no votes against, and no abstentions, lawmakers also approved the Law on Accounting, Financial Reporting and Auditing, along with recommendations from the permanent committees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Seven amendments proposed by the functional committee for this draft law were also voted on separately and approved during the session.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The highest legislative body also approved the Law on Payment Services with 68 votes in favor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n However, due to the lack of MPs in the chamber when the bill was put to a vote, voting had to be repeated twice. This drew criticism from Speaker Albulena Haxhiu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cIt seems I already warned you earlier, but there appears to be no reflection. If once again there is no quorum for draft laws, I will not put them to a second vote.
