We have only half of our life left, which is now in your hands to decide whether we should live in fear or feel safe in our country. Therefore, we request that the sentence be life imprisonment. Any other sentence violates and degrades Liridona, the country, society and the awareness of our people about this heinous crime. Only serving the sentence will ease the pain at least a little,\u201d<\/em>&nbsp;he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The brother of Liridona Ademaj said that one thing is clear: Naim Murseli organized the murder together with Kushtrim Kokalla, choosing Granit Plava as the killer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cAlbanians wherever they are know one thing clearly: Naim organized this murder together with Kushtrim, choosing Granit as the killer. We have seen and heard many things here. We have all been present when at least 22 surveillance cameras captured Naim, Granit and Kushtrim. We have also seen the consistency of their statements, which are closely linked to each other. I do not want to quote all of them, but some should be mentioned. In the statements given, Kushtrim says: Naim told me a year earlier to kill Liridona&#8230; Granit says: Naim offered me 30,000 euros for the execution. Granit says: every time we met Naim, Kushtrim was present. Granit says: Kushtrim is my close friend. Naim says he wanted Liridona to be killed at all costs. Granit says: Naim was armed at the moment of the murder and told me \u2018shoot, shoot\u2019. Granit says: Naim gave me instructions on how the murder plan should go. And he says that if we are caught by the police, I will get you out of prison because I have connections. Meanwhile, Naim states: I was mentally unwell when Liridona discovered my betrayal. Naim says: I do not know Granit, Kushtrim introduced me to him. Naim says: I stayed with Kushtrim all the time because he knew my problems,\u201d<\/em>&nbsp;he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ademaj said that they are not asking the court to bring their sister back to life, but only for justice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cFrom 2010 to 2026, 59 women have been killed. So, in 16 years, 59 women have been killed. All these families affected by this phenomenon, and now us as well, none of us have asked for the revival of those killed. But we have asked for justice, which is what we are entitled to,\u201d<\/em>&nbsp;he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Leonard Ademaj told the court that without Naim Murseli, Granit Plava and Kushtrim Kokalla, the murder of Liridona Ademaj would not have happened.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cIt is clear who found the killer and who organized the crime. But here it is more than clear that Naim asked for Liridona to be killed through Kushtrim. The latter did not accept to risk himself directly and found Granit as the killer. So the scheme begins like this. Without Naim, there is no Kushtrim. Without Kushtrim, there is no Granit, and without Granit, there would be no murder,\u201d&nbsp;<\/em>he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During his closing remarks, Ademaj said that the crime must be punished strongly so that Liridona\u2019s children and the family can at least find some relief.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cWe must all know that in the future this process will also be seen by Liridona\u2019s children. They will grow up missing their mother. At the same time, they will seek justice for her. When they see this process, they will understand that they do not need to worry, because a fair and conscious person has delivered justice through the court\u2019s decision. Here we must send them a clear message that justice for their mother has been served&#8230; After more than eight months since Liridona\u2019s murder, it was the first time I met them, as we did not have access in Sweden. We did not know how they had experienced this act of their father. After meeting them, we learned that the children were against their father and even today, nearly three years later, they still refuse to speak to him. The crime committed must be punished strongly so that Liridona\u2019s children and we as a family can find at least some relief from the pain we have experienced.
