With messages on preserving the values of freedom, a commemorative academy was held at the Xhavit Haziri Cultural House in Obiliq in honor of ten Rama martyrs and civilian victims who were killed 27 years ago during the last war in Kosovo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The event gathered institutional representatives, family members of the fallen, former fighters, and citizens, who reflected on the sacrifice of those who gave their lives for Kosovo\u2019s freedom and the importance of preserving historical memory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Mayor of Obiliq, Halil Thaci, said that March 1999 remains one of the most difficult periods for the people of Kosovo, honoring all those who fell for freedom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meanwhile, the Mayor of Pristina, P\u00ebrparim Rama, emphasized that Kosovo\u2019s path to state-building has been built on the sacrifice of those who stood firm during the most difficult times, adding that their legacy lives on through the country\u2019s institutions and values today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Speakers at the event described the liberation war as a historic and extraordinary struggle, highlighting it as a lasting example of collective courage and responsibility for future generations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At the end of the academy, family members of the victims expressed gratitude for the institutional support and public participation, stressing that remembering the fallen remains a permanent duty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Among those commemorated were members of the Rama family and other victims, as well as civilians from the Halimi, Merlaku, Morina, Haliti, and other families who lost their lives during the war in Obiliq.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
