Vjosa Osmani will continue to hold the title of \u201cPresident,\u201d officially and by law, even after April 4, when her current mandate as head of state is expected to end\u2014unless some \u201cmiracle\u201d occurs that would keep her in office for another term.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The continuation of this status is guaranteed by the Law on the President of the Republic of Kosovo. More specifically, Article 18, paragraph 3 of this legal act.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAfter the completion of the mandate for which he\/she was elected, the title \u2018President\u2019 continues to apply to the President of the Republic whose mandate has ended in accordance with paragraph 1 of this article,\u201d <\/em>the provision states, as reported by KosovaPress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In addition to this privilege, if she does not decide otherwise regarding her future, Osmani will also receive other privileges and benefits in her capacity as a former president.
