The Kosovo Energy Corporation (KEK) and the Municipality of Fush\u00eb Kosov\u00eb have signed a memorandum of cooperation aimed at implementing capital projects in the municipality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Under this agreement, KEK assumes social responsibility by investing in the areas where it operates as a form of compensation for damages caused by its energy activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Mayor of Fush\u00eb Kosov\u00eb, Valon Prebreza, praised KEK\u2019s readiness, emphasizing that this cooperation will bring tangible benefits to the citizens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe framework of this memorandum\u2026 includes facilitating and finding ways for cooperation between the Municipality of Fush\u00eb Kosov\u00eb and the Kosovo Energy Corporation, based on KEK\u2019s social responsibility towards the residents of Fush\u00eb Kosov\u00eb and the surrounding area affected by KEK\u2019s operations. It is necessary for KEK to make investments that will compensate for the damage caused, turning it into tangible benefits through capital projects. We hope that these capital projects will receive ongoing support from KEK. Such a memorandum should have been signed years ago, but this willingness did not exist in the past,\u201d P<\/em>rebreza said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Meanwhile, KEK CEO Gramos Hashani said that this cooperation should have happened much earlier, but conditions were only now met. He added that through this agreement, KEK commits to direct support for the community, while the municipality will provide coordination and administrative facilitation for KEK\u2019s needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWe signed a memorandum of understanding with the Municipality of Fush\u00eb Kosov\u00eb, which should have been signed much earlier, but now the conditions were met, and we finalized it.
