{"id":79867,"date":"2026-01-30T14:02:23","date_gmt":"2026-01-30T14:02:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kosovapress.com\/eng\/admin\/?p=79867"},"modified":"2026-01-30T14:02:24","modified_gmt":"2026-01-30T14:02:24","slug":"questioned-by-the-special-prosecutors-office-faton-peci-warns-of-criminal-complaint","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kosovapress.com\/eng\/admin\/questioned-by-the-special-prosecutors-office-faton-peci-warns-of-criminal-complaint\/","title":{"rendered":"Questioned by the Special Prosecutor\u2019s Office, Faton Peci warns of criminal complaint"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Mayor of South Mitrovica and former Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development, Faton Peci, has announced that today he appeared before the Prosecutor\u2019s Office to give his explanations regarding the criminal complaint filed by the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) through former MP Paris Guri.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a Facebook post, Peci stated that he was, as he put it, \u201ctransparent, clear and straightforward\u201d before the Prosecutor\u2019s Office, clarifying his role as minister in the process of awarding grants by the Ministry of Agriculture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He warned that very soon he will address the justice institutions with a criminal complaint for false reporting, accusing Paris Guri of orchestrating a smear campaign which, according to him, led to the filing of an unfounded criminal complaint against him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Peci emphasized that attacks, baseless accusations, lies and attempts to tarnish his name will not stop him from continuing his commitment to, as he said, \u201cgood work and major work for Kosovo.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe move forward!\u201d Peci concluded in his public statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meanwhile, the Kosovo Special Prosecutor\u2019s Office told KosovaPress that Peci\u2019s questioning lasted around three hours.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Mayor of South Mitrovica and former Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development, Faton Peci, has announced that today he appeared before the Prosecutor\u2019s Office to give his explanations regarding the criminal complaint filed by the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) through former MP Paris Guri.
