The Chairman of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) War Veterans\u2019 Organization, Hysni Gucati, has stated that they will take part in the February 17 protest in support of former KLA leaders who are being held in detention in The Hague, KosovaPress reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He said the reasons why they are not part of the Organizing Council are already known. He made these remarks after paying tribute at the Adem Jashari Memorial Complex in Prekaz on the occasion of the 28th anniversary of the second attack against the Jashari family by Serbian forces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThis question you asked me is a spicy one. How could I and all my comrades not take part? We will take part in the protest. We are not part of the organizing council\u2014we have said this for some time, and the reasons are more or less known\u2014but we will participate in the protest. I myself have served time in prison, and we have comrades, we have people who fought in the war,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Gucati strongly believes that the former KLA leaders will be acquitted and that justice will prevail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI believe that on the 16th\u201317th we will be in The Hague, we will listen to our four fellow fighters. We believe we will be there; if we are allowed, we submitted requests two days ago, and I believe we will be allowed to participate. I believe and want to strongly believe that they will be acquitted. I do not believe that justice will be political or selective; it will be genuine European justice,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
