{"id":79327,"date":"2026-01-12T12:18:51","date_gmt":"2026-01-12T12:18:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kosovapress.com\/eng\/admin\/?p=79327"},"modified":"2026-01-12T12:18:52","modified_gmt":"2026-01-12T12:18:52","slug":"mother-of-twins-killed-during-the-war-demands-life-imprisonment-for-milosh-pleskoviq","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kosovapress.com\/eng\/admin\/mother-of-twins-killed-during-the-war-demands-life-imprisonment-for-milosh-pleskoviq\/","title":{"rendered":"Mother of twins killed during the war demands life imprisonment for Milosh Pleskoviq"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2>Mihrije Da\u00e7aj, the mother whose twin sons were killed in Prizren during the last war in Kosovo, has called for life imprisonment for Milosh Pleskoviq.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>She made these statements during a hearing at the Court of Appeal reviewing the appeal against the ruling of the Basic Court in Prishtina in the case against Milosh Pleskoviq, who is accused of war crimes in the Prizren area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe demand a life sentence,\u201d Mihrije said briefly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A maximum sentence was also requested by the injured party\u2019s legal representative, lawyer Blend Gjini, who further emphasized that the defense counsel\u2019s appeal is unfounded. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cConsidering that we are dealing with the killing of Albanian civilians, and given that the experiences and suffering were once again relived during the hearing, we believe that the sentence imposed by the court of first instance is too lenient, as the law provides for sentences of up to 20 years for these criminal offenses. Therefore, we request that the Court of Appeal, taking into account these circumstances and facts, impose the maximum sentence on the accused.
