The voting process in today\u2019s early parliamentary elections is proceeding normally, said the Chairman of the CEC, Kreshnik Radoniqi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
However, he noted that in six municipalities\u2014Istog, Ferizaj, Viti, Rahovec, Gra\u010danica, and Gjilan\u2014problems with electricity were reported, though these were later resolved. Regarding this issue, Radoniqi said that they are in communication with KEDS but did not rule out the possibility of further electricity problems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cBased on information received from the municipal election commissions, the voting process in all municipalities across the country is proceeding normally at this stage. No problems or irregularities have been reported that would affect the overall conduct of the electoral process,\u201d he said at today\u2019s CEC meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He added that to ensure the smooth running of election day, the Central Election Commission has activated the Operations Room, which consists of CEC officials as well as representatives from the State Prosecutor\u2019s Office and the Kosovo Police.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAccording to the 11:00 report, the CEC Operations Room received reports of electricity problems in six polling stations located in the municipalities of Istog, Ferizaj, Viti, Rahovec, Gra\u010danica, and Gjilan. The municipal commissions have notified KEDS. We also received a report from the Municipality of Rahovec, where a polling station was observed to have ballots with visible marks on the numbers. The electricity issues, once reported, have been resolved. Is it possible we will have electricity problems again? Yes, it is possible. We alerted this issue days ago, but KEDS officials are on the ground and in continuous communication with the CEC.
