During the visit of the President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani with the Mayor of Mitrovica Faton Peci, to congratulate him on his new position, Peci has declared that all the needs and concerns of the citizens of Mitrovica and institutional support were discussed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In this meeting, it was promised by President Osmani that together they will preserve the sovereignty of the Republic of Kosovo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Mayor of Mitrovica, Faton Peci in a press conference, said that Mitrovica has institutional support starting from the Office of the President and the acting Prime Minister, Albin Kurti.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During this visit, Peci said that the main issues discussed were education, healthcare, but also archaeological matters that reveal the potential heritage of this city, but which are not demonstrated on the ground.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Regarding this Peci said that it needs to be improved and invested in infrastructure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe discussed all the needs and concerns of the citizens of Mitrovica, but at the same time also the greatest need for institutional support that Mitrovica requires starting from the Office of the President and the Government. Mitrovica after the war as in the initial phase was treated only as a problem of Mitrovica and now it is good that it has the attention and support of the first of the country but at the same time also the government and the acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti.. We discussed all topics that are of public interest, starting from environmental issues, to archaeological matters that reveal potential heritage, also for the possibility that the city of Mitrovica is the most beautiful for what God has given it but which is not demonstration of the factual situation on the ground, to improve it and advance it through concrete investments whether those are infrastructural,\u201d said Peci.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meanwhile, the head of the country, Vjosa Osmani said that the city of Mitrovica will have support from the central level, because of the challenges that citizens have had even after the war.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Osmani said that she believes in its improvement, knowing the will of Peci that he has and seriousness in work, knowing the importance of Mitrovica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
President Osmani said that together they will preserve the sovereignty of the Republic of Kosovo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI know closely the problems that this city faces and naturally they are many, but they have full confidence that gradually they will be resolved also with the engagement of the mayor and his team, but also with our support from the central level, because the citizens of Mitrovica deserve every good, despite the challenges that they have faced even after the war that now the path of perspective and development is opened to them. It has extraordinary potential, not only because of natural beauty but also the tradition it has, the potential that the people have and the history it has… I am convinced that it will be so knowing the will with which he works and the seriousness that he takes with each task and at the same time I am convinced that also from a political aspect, knowing the importance of Mitrovica, we will cooperate as much as possible so that we continue to preserve the sovereignty of the Republic of Kosovo, territorial integrity. These lands have always been Albanian,\u201d said Osmani.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Asked why she did not support in the same way the former mayor of Mitrovica from the ranks of PDK, Bedri Hamza, Osmani countered that it is propaganda, because she had visited Hamza several times and had had the same support.\u201cI have opinion and the first opinion is that what you just said is fake news, it is propaganda, it is a lie, because not once, but several times I visited Bedri Hamza while he was the mayor of the municipality.
