At the Basic Court in Prishtina, the initial hearing in the State Reserves case failed to take place. The accused in the case are the acting Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship, and Trade, Rozeta Hajdari, as well as Irfan Lipovica, Hafiz Gara, and Ridvan Muharremi. The hearing failed because the acting minister, Rozeta Hajdari, and Feim Alaj, the defense attorney for the accused Irfan Lipovica, were absent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Those present at today\u2019s session were Irfan Lipovica and Hafiz Gara, while the accused Ridvan Muharremi appeared late in court, KosovaPress reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The presiding judge, Avni Syla, said that the court had sent the summons to Hajdari via mail, but as he said, no response has been received to confirm that she properly received the summons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe accused Rozeta Hajdari did not appear, even though the court sent her a summons by mail. However, until today, we have not received any response confirming whether it was properly received. Her defense attorney, Florent Latifaj, is present,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The judge, Syla, also explained the reason for the absence of Feim Alaj, the defense attorney for Irfan Lipovica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThrough an official email, he informed the court that he could not attend today\u2019s session because he had previously received a summons from the Basic Court of Peja. After receiving this notification, we sent an official email requesting that he find a substitute attorney. However, he again informed the court that, despite attempts to find a substitute attorney, he did not receive approval from his client, the accused Irfan Lipovica,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
After the conclusion of this session, attorney Mahmut Halimi, representing the accused Ridvan Muharremi, requested the declassification of documents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe express our concern that we have directed requests to both the prosecution and the court, which I believe you have received, asking for the declassification of documents. We have not accepted the case files until the declassification is lifted,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In response to this request, the presiding judge, Avni Syla, stated that the court has not received any documents regarding this matter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Rozeta Hajdari\u2019s lawyer, Florent Latifaj, was tasked with notifying his client for the next session, while attorney Alaj will be notified by the legal officer from his office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Following this session, the acting Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship, and Trade, Rozeta Hajdari, announced via a Facebook post that she had not received any summons from the court for today\u2019s session.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She stated that upon receiving the summons from the court, she will attend the next initial hearing, which is scheduled for January 13, 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDear citizens, regarding today\u2019s court session related to the state reserves of goods, I inform you that I have not received any summons from the court! Once I receive the summons for the next session, I will appear in court,\u201d she wrote.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Special Prosecution of the Republic of Kosovo filed an indictment on November 11, 2025, against four defendants in the case known as \u201cState Reserves.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
