Every time this month arrives, Kosovo remembers the first public appearance of the Kosovo Liberation Army, on November 28, 1997, in Llaush\u00eb of Skenderaj.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What pushed the KLA to make its activities public was the killing of the Llaush\u00eb schoolteacher, Halit Geci, two days earlier by Serbian forces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rexhep Selimi, Daut Haradinaj, and Muj\u00eb Krasniqi were the first to appear publicly before the public, at his funeral, as KLA soldiers, as reported by&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/kosovapress.com\/\">\u200bKosovaPress<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The KLA\u2019s statement for its first public appearance was prepared by its own soldiers.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Today marks 28 years since the first public appearance of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA).
