The previous sessions had been postponed due to the delay in the testimony of U.S. diplomat Christopher Hill.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the court\u2019s schedule, Hill will begin his testimony at 2:00 PM, which will continue until 5:00 PM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The hearings are expected to continue over the next three days as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Hashim Tha\u00e7i, Kadri Veseli, Jakup Krasniqi, and Rexhep Selimi have been in detention since November 2020, accused of alleged war crimes, charges to which they have all pleaded not guilty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Their trial began in April 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Veterans of the Kosovo Liberation Army continue to oppose the Specialist Chambers, arguing that Serbian crimes committed in Kosovo should be prosecuted instead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They have called on members of the Kosovo Assembly to amend the law on the Specialist Chambers, but such an initiative has not succeeded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
