Most women were not informed, but they are asking questions and showing interest. So far, ten screenings have been done, mostly from the Serbian community,\u201d said Llapjani.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She added that the activity will continue in other regions as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe day after tomorrow we will be in Zve\u010dan, Leposavi\u0107, and Zubin Potok. Last year we had a lot of participation, and we expect it to be just as good this year,\u201d said Llapjani.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The technician also noted that the activity is drawing interest from women in the southern part as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe are expecting more participation tomorrow from Albanian women, as interest is also coming from women from the southern part,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Rrezarta Prekazi, the health officer of the Municipality of North Mitrovica, told KosovaPress that the main goal of the \u201cPink October\u201d activities is to raise awareness among women about the importance of early detection of breast cancer through information and free screenings with the mobile mammography unit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOur aim is for every woman to have equal access to preventive services, regardless of where she lives or her socio-economic status. The free screenings are available to all women living in our municipality, with special emphasis on women over the age of 40,\u201d said Prekazi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She added that the activity will continue even after the end of \u201cPink October,\u201d through preventive campaigns and free screenings, with the goal of improving the health of women and the community as a whole.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
