At the voting center \u201cLidhja e Prizrenit\u201d in Carabreg, De\u00e7an, a person is suspected of having photographed their vote, and the authorities have taken action regarding this. Meanwhile, at the same center, concerns have been raised about pressure being exerted on voters. These concerns were voiced by the candidate of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) for Mayor of De\u00e7an, Jeton Mushkolaj.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
After casting his vote, he expressed his dissatisfaction, urging the citizens of De\u00e7an to vote freely and without pressure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe are all citizens and we know each other. It is important that citizens are allowed to vote freely, to give their verdict as they think, without pressure or influence. I call on all citizens of De\u00e7an to go out and vote freely, to give their verdict without pressure. What caught my attention at the center when I came to vote is that here the coordinator of the center did not verify an official who has a badge and is an observer from AAK. Verification was only done for people not on the list, which I consider not correct and should be stopped. It is also not right to have two or three doors open at the voting center; the center has an entrance here, and citizens should enter only through this entrance. Such situations where citizens are pressured in voting should not be repeated,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The manager of the voting center at the \u201cLidhja e Prizrenit\u201d school in Carrabreg, De\u00e7an, Qazim Maloku, said that since the center opened at 07:00, apart from one case of photographing a vote, which the authorities handled, no other irregularities have been recorded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Regarding the claims of the LDK candidate for Mayor of De\u00e7an, Jeton Mushkolaj, the center manager Qazim Maloku rejected them, stating that the AAK official only assisted citizens in verifying or finding their polling stations and did not exert any pressure on voters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe suspicions were raised by him, I did not verify them. In fact, the CEC (Central Election Commission) made a major mistake by not sending any officials here, and I cannot verify every person from different parties who enters. The official with the badge only helped those who needed to find their polling station, as some were in Drenoc and some in De\u00e7an. There was no intervention that could influence voters\u2026 Since morning, we haven\u2019t had major problems, just one case of photographing a vote, which the prosecution and police have dealt with. No other substantial complaints have been reported,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Regarding the fact that there were two entrances at this voting center, according to Maloku, the alternative entrance has now been closed, and only the main entrance of the school is functioning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
All 14 voting centers in the De\u00e7an municipality opened on time at 07:00. So far, no irregularities have been reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Candidates running for Mayor of De\u00e7an include Faton Selmanaj from Vet\u00ebvendosje, Jetmir Prekalla from the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), Jeton Mushkolaj from the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), Bashkim Ramosaj from the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), Natyra Ku\u00e7i from the Social Democratic Party, Shkumbin Demakuja from the Democratic Initiative, and Shefqet Tolaj from Guxo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
