The candidate for mayor of Mitrovica from the PDK (Democratic Party of Kosovo), Arian Tahiri, has exercised his right to vote.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Together with his wife, Tahiri voted at the \u201cTrep\u00e7a\u201d school, reports Klankosova.tv.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt\u2019s a beautiful day for the city of Mitrovica and its citizens \u2014 a calm day when people, in a peaceful and democratic manner, decide on the governance for the 2025\u20132029 term. I\u2019m pleased to see a high level of culture, respect, restraint, and civic spirit among the people of Mitrovica, and I\u2019m optimistic that this will be a beautiful day,\u201d said Tahiri, adding that all reports so far indicate that everything is going smoothly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tahiri was asked about the statement made by the acting Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, who referred to him as a \u201cspare tire\u201d of the PDK, to which he answered:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI just wish for today to continue peacefully and beautifully, just as it has so far. I\u2019m optimistic that it\u2019s going to be a very beautiful day,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
