\u201cFour years is a long time \u2014 four years is a lifetime \u2014 during which those years are led by a team that works with integrity, vision, and love for the city. Therefore, today\u2019s vote is a vote for our shared future, for development, and for dignity. We believe in the citizens of Kosovo, we believe in our democracy, and we are convinced that this day will end successfully, with high participation and with a free and fair process for everyone. Just before I came here, I was informed by our branch in Drenas that, thanks to the intervention of our observers, three people were arrested in a polling station for photographing their votes. The Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) has called on citizens to go out and vote.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAs you know, the Democratic Party of Kosovo is competing with the largest number of candidates in these local elections. Based on the data we have received from the field so far, the electoral process is proceeding mostly well, and citizens are turning out to vote. The citizens of Kosovo are going to the polls and taking responsibility into their own hands to choose the direction of their local governance. As we have always emphasized, municipal governance is the most important level of government for citizens\u2019 daily lives. The quality of life, the way our communities function, and how responsive municipalities are to citizens\u2019 needs are all determined locally. Therefore, today, PDK calls on all citizens to go out and vote \u2014 to vote responsibly, with conviction and hope, to vote for the future they want and deserve,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the Central Election Commission (CEC) platform, so far 160,421 citizens across the country have exercised their right to vote \u2014 or 7.92% of eligible voters in Kosovo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In Drenas, 4,679 citizens out of 57,342 eligible voters have voted so far \u2014 meaning 8.16% have exercised their right to vote in this municipality.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
