The leader of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), Memli Krasniqi, expressed doubts about the constitutionality of the formation of the Assembly of Kosovo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
After the Assembly Speaker, Dimal Basha, declared the Assembly constituted with the election of Nenad Rashiq as vice-chair from the Serbian community, Krasniqi said that \u201cthe answer to whether the Assembly has been constituted or not has yet to take its full form.\u201d However, he added that Speaker Basha\u2019s statement that the ninth legislature has been constituted is valid, hoping that this situation will not become a new case at the Constitutional Court.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At a press conference after the constitutive session, Krasniqi called on parliamentary parties to find ways to dissolve the Assembly and move toward new elections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhether the Assembly has been constituted or not, it seems that this answer has not yet fully taken shape. I believe that the constitution was necessary and essential on April 15, which we supported. It remains to be seen if it will function moving forward. For us, it is important that the constitution is final so that we can begin the constitutional deadlines to see the possibility of forming a new government. Knowing that no party has a parliamentary majority, I believe the most important thing is to find a mechanism that leads us to early elections as soon as possible and without delay. I hope there will be rationality among the parties to reach such an agreement, but this remains to be seen in the coming days,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Explaining the abstention vote in the election of the vice-chair from the Serbian community, Krasniqi said that his party has maintained the same position on this role from the beginning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI am not sure, because there was no draw here. I think there was room for a different legal or constitutional constitution. I saw that the Assembly Speaker tried to consult those giving instructions rather than interpret the constitutionality himself. However, today it is a fact that a constitution has taken place and the vice-chair from the Serbian community, Mr. Rashiq, has been elected. How things will proceed remains to be seen. Unfortunately, we have had several cases at the Constitutional Court, and I hope there will be no more, so we can move forward with an agreement for early elections. As for us, the Speaker\u2019s statement is valid, and we will see if there is any change on their part,\u201d Krasniqi emphasized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Speaking about the possibility of forming a government by former opposition parties, Krasniqi was more reserved but underlined the need for an agreement on new early elections as soon as possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Regarding an audio recording implicating the Mayor of Drenas, Ramiz Lladrovci, in discussions about certain municipal properties, the PDK leader called on justice authorities to urgently investigate the case.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI believe there is no one left in Kosovo who hasn\u2019t heard that audio recording. Despite the statements of various parties, it is still the responsibility of law enforcement to urgently investigate this situation. It was problematic to hear those words about public properties in the Municipality of Drenas,\u201d Krasniqi said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
