The MP of the Vet\u00ebvendosje Movement, Glauk Konjufca, said that they have no vote for the election of the deputy speaker from the Serb List.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Regarding the election of the Serb MP, Nenad Rashiq, to this position, Konjufca added that it is not unconstitutional. He said he expects that today the Assembly of Kosovo will be fully constituted, adding that \u201cstarting tomorrow, the countdown begins for the formation of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Before the start of the constitutive session, Konjufca said that after all proposals from the Serb List fail, Nenad Rashiq will be nominated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAfter this full judgment of the Constitutional Court, it became clear that no one has any kind of veto right in the constitution of the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo: that is the first important conclusion. The second important conclusion is that all MPs must be present and vote. And the third thing I want to share with you is that Vet\u00ebvendosje has absolutely no vote for the Serb List or for any of its nominees. That\u2019s how the session will proceed. I think MPs from all political parties will participate, and when all the options from the Serb List fail, then only the last one remains \u2014 Mr. Rashiq \u2014 and I don\u2019t think his election would be unconstitutional,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Konjufca\u2019s expectations for today\u2019s session are that the Assembly will be constituted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cToday, I think everything should be completed. You know that there could be up to 27 possible options to vote on until all the Serb List\u2019s proposals are exhausted, and then I believe it\u2019s best that the Assembly does not prolong this process any further and finishes everything today. I don\u2019t think it will take more than three or four hours \u2014 I believe the constitution of the Assembly will be completed today. I strongly believe we will have a constituted Assembly,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He said that negotiations and talks are continuing regarding the formation of the government, though he could not give further details.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI believe we will have a government soon, and Albin Kurti will be the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo for the third time. This will happen after the constitution of the Assembly. I think that starting tomorrow, the time will begin to run for forming the Government of the Republic of Kosovo. Because today we will have a constituted Assembly\u2026 Yes, I will have a responsibility in the new government, most likely in diplomacy, according to all indications,\u201d Konjufca replied.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Before the start of the constitutive session, Konjufca also spoke about the election of the new Speaker of the Assembly of Kosovo, Dimal Basha.\u201cHe is Vet\u00ebvendosje\u2019s nominee and was voted for by all of us. He has been elected legitimately, and we have wished him all the best and a successful job. I think he will lead the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo well, and I believe he will be close and cooperative with the opposition parties. That\u2019s the standard of how a Speaker should act, that\u2019s also how I have tried to act myself.
