The embassy, which described the attack on the Kosovo Police as terrible, said that the perpetrators \u2013 including Milan Radoi\u010di\u0107 \u2013 have still not been brought to justice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe again urge the Serbian authorities to act on this as soon as possible,\u201d the embassy added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On September 24, 2023, a group of armed Serbs, led by terrorist Milan Radoi\u010di\u0107, attacked the Kosovo Police. Sergeant Afrim Bunjaku was killed and others were wounded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Special forces killed three Serbs, while members of the terrorist group fled toward Serbia through mountain routes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The group of about 50 people, led by the chief terrorist Milan Radoi\u010di\u0107 \u2013 sanctioned by the United States and wanted by local institutions for involvement in murder \u2013 had positioned themselves in and around the Banjska Monastery, wearing military uniforms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Nearly a year after the attack, on September 11, the Special Prosecution filed an indictment, with Radoi\u010di\u0107 among the main defendants as the leader of the group. According to the indictment, they committed the criminal offense of \u201ccommitting a terrorist act\u201d and the offense of \u201cserious crimes against the constitutional order and security of the Republic of Kosovo.\u201d Some are also accused of financing the group and money laundering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Serbia has still not extradited the Banjska criminals, despite repeated requests from local authorities and several international allies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
