As part of the 26th anniversary of the establishment of the Kosovo Police, numerous activities have been organized with a focus on engaging and collaborating with children and young people. The day\u2019s activities are taking place in several cities and involve participation from children, youth, as well as members of special units.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The aim of these activities is to strengthen relations between the Police and the community, as well as to raise awareness about safety and the important role the Police play in protecting citizens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Deputy Commander of the Kosovo Police, Sami Halimi, stated that activities are being held at all police stations and units to mark this day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAs part of the 26th anniversary of the establishment of the Kosovo Police, all units and police stations are holding Open Door events where visits are conducted with different segments of society. Within these activities, the Police also organize events such as today at the Central Station, a celebration was held at Zahir Pajaziti Square, activities with children, activities with different citizens, discussions with them, as well as other events such as the sports match today between the Police of Albania and the Kosovo Police, which will be held at the Youth Palace Hall.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n Children\u2019s activities were also held at Zahir Pajaziti Square in Pristina.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cI want to wish all the police a happy Police Day because they have always protected us when we needed help and safeguarded our property. Today we are participating in various activities, such as receiving free books and other things. I am having a great time,\u201d <\/em>she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Meanwhile,\u00a0Amelia Halili\u00a0said\u00a0that the Kosovo Police taught them a lot during today\u2019s activity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cI thank the Kosovo Police very much; they showed us many things, for example, when we need police or ambulance help. We did many activities, received many gifts, and it was very nice today. I am having a wonderful time,\u201d <\/em>she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Eris Hasani\u00a0also expressed hope that Kosovo police officers celebrate this day well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cI am enjoying myself here; there are many activities and nice gifts. I hope our police celebrate this beautiful and good holiday very well,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n On the other hand,\u00a0Hare Pllana\u00a0said she enjoys the idea of becoming a police officer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cToday I am having fun watching the Police. We did different activities at Zahir Pajaziti Square, watched dances, the Police, and more. My parents tell me that when I grow up, they hope I will be successful like the other police officers here. I like the idea of becoming a police officer, but I am not yet sure; maybe I will become a successful architect,\u201d<\/em> she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Meanwhile,\u00a0Suzana Xhemajli, a teacher at \u201cQamil Batalli\u201d school, explained how the students were organized to participate in this event and also called on the Police to invite even more schools in the coming years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cAll of this started with an invitation from the Kosovo Police, and we began preparations. We started with cards and sayings that the children made themselves; one student even presented her dream of becoming a police officer on fabric. We prepared two songs, one in Albanian and one in English, and we recited the anthem. The children, as always, are enthusiastic to see new things and enjoy it.
