We have thirty-four embassies, twelve general consulates, four special consulates, and one liaison office. Among these are new representations recently opened in Poland, Colombia, Malaysia, and near the Holy See in the Vatican. This wide distribution of missions, which is the broadest in the history of our Republic, simultaneously represents both an advantage and a challenge.
The advantage is that it allows our state to have 53 voices around the world, pushing forward the most important interests of Kosovo and its citizens. Meanwhile, the main challenge is how to find a way for all your voices to not operate disconnected from each other but in full harmony, like a single choir with the Ministry here in Prishtina acting as the conductor,” said Kurti.

He also warned that Serbia’s attempts to damage Kosovo’s image and sovereignty continue to be a constant challenge, spreading false messages around the world.

Kurti said that the activity of ambassadors is vital for protecting the country.

“Serbia’s efforts to undermine the sovereignty and territorial integrity of our state continue to pose a threat to our national security, with millions spent on lobbying and global communication, systematically spreading false messages to every corner of the world. Considering this challenging global and regional climate, your work as Kosovo’s representatives is vital for affirming our country,” Kurti added.

Meanwhile, the acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, Donika Gërvalla, presented the ministry’s internal reforms and Kosovo’s international achievements over the past year.

Gërvalla emphasized that every euro of the budget is used with a clear, justified plan and full control, successfully reducing unnecessary expenses, redirecting funds toward strategic priorities, and strengthening accountability in every diplomatic mission.

“This has been a fundamental reform, establishing new standards of transparency and responsible financial management. Today, every euro of the budget is used with a clear, justified plan and full control; we have succeeded in reducing unnecessary expenses, redirecting funds toward strategic priorities, and strengthening accountability in every diplomatic mission. The savings from operational expenses have been used to strengthen economic and public diplomacy, from supporting Kosovo businesses in foreign markets to promoting our country’s image internationally. In this framework, we have developed many cultural activities worldwide, presenting Kosovo as a new state with a rich heritage, contemporary creativity, and inexhaustible energy.
