Kosovo has failed to form new institutions six months after the February 9 parliamentary elections. Parliamentary parties remain unable to agree on electing the leadership of the Assembly, which would pave the way for forming a new government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As the third-largest party in the February 9 elections, LDK has twice rejected VV\u2019s offer for a governing coalition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Abdixhiku said that the gap between them is only growing wider, while also highlighting the need for VV to undergo reforms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A day before the 44th attempt to constitute the Assembly, Abdixhiku accused the VV of the political crisis and the continued failure to constitute the ninth legislature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He claimed that VV intends to prolong the blockade and called on President Vjosa Osmani to raise a constitutional question once the 30-day deadline for constituting the Assembly expires, in accordance with the Constitutional Court\u2019s ruling, which ends on July 27.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The LDK chairman confirmed that deputy chairwoman Hykmete Bajrami will represent the party in a meeting with senior U.S. official Brendan Hanrahan, who is expected to visit Kosovo this week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
