According to the Kosovo Agency of Statistics (KAS), electricity prices increased by 17.8 percent in June 2025 compared to the same period in 2024.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Meanwhile, according to KAS, the monthly inflation rate was 0.7 percent in June 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe overall Harmonized Index of Consumer Prices increased by an average of 4.3% in June 2025 compared to June 2024. This is mainly explained by the increase in consumer prices during this period in the COICOP groups and sub-groups: coffee, tea, and cocoa (18.2%); electricity (17.8%); fruits (14.8%); organized holidays (13.3%); meat (12.8%); other services related to personal transport equipment (10.4%); oils and fats (9.7%); hotel services (7.7%); vegetables (7.2%); outpatient services (7.1%); goods and services for routine household maintenance (6.7%); newspapers, books, and office materials (6.4%); alcoholic beverages (6.4%); milk, cheese, and eggs (5.7%); mineral water, non-alcoholic beverages, fruit and vegetable juices (5.4%); financial services (5.2%); personal care (4.9%); bread and cereals (4.8%); tools and equipment for house and garden (4.8%); footwear (4.2%); food products (4.1%); maintenance and repair of dwellings (3.9%); water supply and miscellaneous services related to the dwelling (3.5%); tobacco (3.4%); sugar, jam, honey, chocolate, and sweets (3.1%); personal items (2.7%)\u201d, the KAS report states.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the other hand, price decreases were observed in the COICOP group: fuels and lubricants for personal transport equipment (5.3%), solid fuels such as firewood, pellets, etc. (4.5%), and airline tickets (3.2%), with a combined impact of these subgroups of 0.5% on the HICP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to KAS, the overall Harmonized Index of Consumer Prices increased by an average of 0.7% in June 2025 compared to May 2025. This is mainly explained by the increase in consumer prices during this period in the COICOP groups and sub-groups: organized holidays (10.4%); electricity (5.4%), fruits (5.1%), coffee, tea, and cocoa (2.3%), fuels and lubricants for personal transport equipment (2.1%); alcoholic beverages (1.7%), meat (1.4%), hotel services (1.0%), bread and cereals (1.0%), with a combined impact of these subgroups of 0.9% on the HICP.
