{"id":75216,"date":"2025-07-08T12:09:51","date_gmt":"2025-07-08T12:09:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kosovapress.com\/eng\/admin\/?p=75216"},"modified":"2025-07-08T12:10:46","modified_gmt":"2025-07-08T12:10:46","slug":"vasfije-krasniqi-on-vogue-together-with-survivors-of-sexual-violence-from-around-the-world","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kosovapress.com\/eng\/admin\/vasfije-krasniqi-on-vogue-together-with-survivors-of-sexual-violence-from-around-the-world\/","title":{"rendered":"Vasfije Krasniqi on Vogue, together with survivors of sexual violence from around the world"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Vasfije Krasniqi-Goodman, known as the voice of survivors of sexual violence during the Kosovo war, has been involved in a project by activist Jadwiga Bronte featured in the prestigious magazine Vogue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The project, called \u201cTalking About Rape,\u201d includes photographs of hundreds of women from different countries around the world who have been sexually assaulted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vasfije Krasniqi was one of the first women in Kosovo to publicly share that she was sexually assaulted by Serbian forces in 1999.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She is the voice of survivors, seeking justice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vasfije Krasniqi has also been honored with the title \u201cDistinguished Citizen of the Republic of Kosovo.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The exact number of people who were sexually assaulted during the last war in Kosovo is unknown, but reports estimate around 20,000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So far, only Zoran Vukotiq has been convicted by local courts for sexual violence during the last war in Kosovo.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Vasfije Krasniqi-Goodman, known as the voice of survivors of sexual violence during the Kosovo war, has been involved in a project by activist Jadwiga Bronte featured in the prestigious magazine Vogue.
