The Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, has stated that they are committed to regional cooperation, while emphasizing that they are closer than ever to joining the European Union.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At the Western Balkans\u2013European Union Summit in Skopje, Rama said that they have fulfilled all the points for implementing reforms within the framework of the European Union\u2019s Growth Plan for the Western Balkan countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He said that Albania is working very well and has never been closer to fulfilling the century-old aspiration of joining the European bloc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cToday we are here for another stop on our shared path, related to the implementation of the New Growth Plan \u2013 a plan that is progressing well and is bringing us closer to deeper ties with the European Union. We are very proud because, practically, we have fulfilled so far all the implementation points and we continue with the other points according to the schedule. We have never been closer to realizing a centuries-old aspiration, I would say, and on the other hand, I am glad there is a generally positive atmosphere in this regard. We are very close. We have never been closer; we are very close, and I strongly believe that we will fulfill all our obligations, as we have agreed with the European Commission, and the joint plan will be fully realized… The Growth Plan is very clear. We need to fulfill our tasks, just as they do. This is an additional instrument connected to what has been called gradual integration. This is happening.
