Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) MP Hykmete Bajrami expressed that Albin Kurti “is not interested in building anything, but only in destroying.” She called the caretaker Prime Minister’s reaction to today’s protest by the business community\u2014which he referred to as a “barricade”\u2014shameful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Following the 23rd failed attempt to convene the Kosovo Assembly, Bajrami stated that the liberalization of the energy market for businesses will “destroy the economy and increase the trade deficit.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“I am here to express deep concern regarding the situation of the business community, the largest employer in Kosovo. I\u2019ve said it before: they employ 143,000 workers\u2026 Albin Kurti said the time of barricades has passed. I consider this shameful because we all know the connotation associated with barricades. While Kurti has not said a single word about the 800-euro transport cost for 1 MWh of electricity imposed by a company that, when he was in opposition, he used to lecture us about\u2014today he compares the business community\u2019s protest to the barricades set up by the Serb List. This is completely unacceptable,\u201d<\/em> she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n MP Bajrami expressed regret that the caretaker Prime Minister Albin Kurti refers to these companies, which she says employ 143,000 workers, as representing only 1% of businesses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cIt is very likely that Albin Kurti will win this battle too because Albin Kurti’s battle has never been to build anything\u2014his battle is to destroy\u2026 And when Albin Kurti defeats education and the economy, the only beneficiary here is Serbia, and this situation is totally unacceptable. What has happened in the energy sector over the past four years must be fully investigated, because ZRRE and KOSTT\u2014who were appointed by LVV to these institutions and who refuse to appear and report before MPs in the Assembly, but instead report to Kurti and Rizvanolli at every government meeting\u2014are responsible for the current situation.
