We, as Albanians from Kosovo, must properly understand the support Croatian politics has provided. The book’s central theme is not only critique, but also identity politics. The ambassador focuses on identity politics within Yugoslavia. The value of this book lies in its relevance today—many thought identity politics ended with the war and the achievement of independence, but now we see a global return of such issues. The book also deals with the problem of the return of history, especially Serbia’s efforts to define its fate outside its own borders,” said Hoxhaj.

Bekim Baliqi, professor of philosophy at the University of Pristina, added that the author approaches politics from a different and insightful angle.

“It was a pleasure to read a book that approaches politics from a different perspective. What the author examines are the political relations and historical processes between the communist and post-communist periods, and how they have impacted former Yugoslavia. In the Balkan context, Kramarić analyzes European tensions and historical traumas. The book argues that Croatian society still has not fully confronted its past,” said Baliqi.

In his remarks, Zlatko Kramarić said that Kosovo occupies a special place in his personal and professional life.

“Pristina, or rather Kosovo, has a very special place in my life.
