This was stated at the conference on transparency, responsibility and justice “Exposing corruption”, organized by non-governmental organizations AKTIV and ACDC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Director of the Agency for the Prevention of Corruption, Yll Buleshkaj, emphasized that as an agency they are facing a lack of human and financial resources for the enforceability of laws that provide for the scope of this agency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Director of the Agency for the Prevention of Corruption, Yll Buleshkaj also expressed concern about how justice institutions are interpreting the legislation affecting this agency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Commissioner of the Information and Privacy Agency (IPA), Krenare Sogojeva-D\u00ebrmaku said that the law on access to public documents, though harmonized with EU directives, must be completed in the near future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to her, during these three years, the law in question has left an increasing trace of transparency and increasing accountability for public institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Also the Ombudsperson, Naim Qelaj, said that Kosovo has legislation in harmony with the EU directives to combat corruption. Qelaj considered the lack of a genuine expertise in dealing with corruption as challenging.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
