The head of the KJC, Albert Zogaj, said that this institution has given the first comments in the working groups for this government initiative, but added that there will be a request for the judge of the case to have the opportunity to reflect on the urgency of the case and also to have a justification to show why the judicial process was obstructed at a certain time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On the other hand, the member of the KJC, judge Artan Abazi, said that the main burden for this draft law should be on the KJC, as it has a key role in its implementation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In addition to these, at today’s meeting, the KJC made a number of decisions, including sending the names of some judges for a decree from the president, Vjosa Osmani, as well as opening several competitions in some of the courts in Kosovo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The draft law on the realization of the right to a trial within a reasonable time limit is an initiative of the Ministry of Justice.
