{"id":67292,"date":"2024-03-01T14:00:09","date_gmt":"2024-03-01T14:00:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/kosovapress.com\/eng\/?p=67292"},"modified":"2024-03-01T14:00:11","modified_gmt":"2024-03-01T14:00:11","slug":"konjufca-the-eu-has-no-competence-to-propose-a-draft-for-the-association-to-kosovo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kosovapress.com\/eng\/admin\/konjufca-the-eu-has-no-competence-to-propose-a-draft-for-the-association-to-kosovo\/","title":{"rendered":"Konjufca: The EU has no competence to propose a draft for the Association to Kosovo"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2>The Speaker of the Assembly of Kosovo, Glauk Konjufca, has said that the European Union does not have the competence to propose to Kosovo a draft of the statute for the establishment of the Association.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>A day after the request of the US ambassador to Kosovo, Jeffrey Hovenier, that Kosovo send the draft proposed by the Euro-American diplomats to the Constitutional Court, Speaker Konjufca said that Kosovo cannot stand ready and whatever draft the EU proposes to send to the Constitutional Court.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He said that he understood the US ambassador&#8217;s request that Kosovo should address its own draft to the Constitutional Court.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He added that the reaction of the Americans has come more because of the decision on the dinar, for which he emphasized that a solution can be found very easily.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the other hand, Konjufca welcomed yesterday&#8217;s resolution of the European Parliament, which calls for a new approach to dialogue and removal of measures against Kosovo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Speaking about the judicial process against him, where days ago he was acquitted of the charge of throwing tear gas in the Assembly, Konjufca said that he was a little surprised by that decision.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Speaker of the Assembly of Kosovo, Glauk Konjufca, has said that the European Union does not have the competence to propose to Kosovo a draft of the statute for the establishment of the Association.
