For twenty-four years, the Municipality in the north of Mitrovica has worked as an administrative office, it has not been functional and not even in the service of the citizens&#8221;, Nexhat Uglanin, chairman of the Municipal Assembly of North Mitrovica, told KosovaPress.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-youtube wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Uglanin: We must stop the 24-year anarchy in the north once and for all\" width=\"1200\" height=\"675\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Wzm68XfZgA4?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>He emphasized that there is dissatisfaction\namong Serbian citizens who are trying to change things through petitions, but\nemphasized that these issues should only be considered by respecting the laws\nof the Republic of Kosovo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to him, the relations between the\nlegislature and the executive within this Municipality regarding various issues\nare full of disagreements, but as he said, this is a democratic way of\nfunctioning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Speaking about the citizens&#8217; petition about the\ndismissal of the Mayor of the Municipality, Uglanin said that last Friday he\nsubmitted the citizens&#8217; signatures to the CEC and the latter has a deadline of\n30 days for verification.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He said that if everything is confirmed to be correct\nwith the petition, there will definitely be elections in the north, but he did\nnot specify the time frame when they can take place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Uglanin also added that political entities have\nstarted preparations for elections, but when they will be held, depends on the\ngovernment of Kosovo.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;We must stop the anarchy once and for all, because this anarchy has reigned for 24 years in the northern part.
