The president of the country, Vjosa Osmani, said that today they came\ntogether to commemorate the bravery, courage, and sacrifice of the brothers\nG\u00ebrvalla and Kadri Zeka, who became a symbol of our efforts for freedom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She said that their contribution is a symbol of our efforts\nfor freedom, for which she added that they remember with honor all their\ncontribution and that of the thousands of boys and girls of Kosovo, who gave\ntheir lives so that today we can work for an independent Kosovo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Likewise, the Speaker of the Assembly of Kosovo, Glauk Konjufca, said\nthat the goal of the brothers G\u00ebrvalla and Kadri Zeka was to unite all illegal\norganizations that aimed at the freedom of the Albanian people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Konjufca called them the forerunners of the Kosovo Liberation Army,\nwhile adding that the goals of the brothers G\u00ebrvalla and Kadri Zeka have great\nweight and importance for the history of Kosovo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meanwhile, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and at the same time the\ndaughter of Jusuf G\u00ebrvalla, Donika G\u00ebrvalla said that January 17 is one of the\ndates that we are constantly reminded that freedom was not easily won and that\nit did not come quickly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She added that this date reminds us how valuable freedom is, and that\naccording to her we know how to work and fight to protect and preserve it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
January 17, 1982, is the day when the brothers Jusuf and Bardhosh G\u00ebrvalla and Kadri Zeka were killed in an assassination attempt. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
