In an interview for KosovaPress, the director of the National Museum of\nKosovo, Vjollca Aliu, says that until the middle of December 2023, the number\nof visitors is 11,451.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She says that over three thousand people have visited the Ethnological\nComplex “Emin Gjiku”, whereas around four thousand others have\nvisited the Museum “House of Independence of Kosovo Dr. Ibrahim\nRugova”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Aliu mentions that in addition to the tasks and priorities for 2024,\nthey are obliged to draw up a program for kindergarten children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The need to start the renovation, restoration and treatment of the\nNational Museum of Kosovo is considered more than necessary by the director,\nVjollca Aliu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She hopes that during 2024, the project for the restoration of the\nMuseum will be a priority of the Ministry of Culture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Hajrulla \u00c7eku, says that\nthere is already a final project for the general restoration of the building of\nthe National Museum of Kosovo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He adds that the project has passed the stages of evaluation by the\ncommission of the Kosovo Institute for the Protection of Monuments and very\nsoon the procedures for engaging the operator for the restoration of the\nbuilding will begin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u00c7eku points out that\nthe central part of the renovations are warehouses, spaces where exhibits,\nartifacts and the museum collection are stored. He believes that with these\nworks, conditions will be created for better and more dignified preservation of\nthe museum’s property.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
