Minister Sve\u00e7la, while reporting to the Committee\non Security and Defense Affairs, for the 2023 annual work report, said that\nthis institution is doing well, while adding that in the Kosovo Police, capital\ninvestments have increased, but according to him, the procedures have also been\naccelerated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
After the presentation of the report by the\nminister, the Vet\u00ebvendosje MP, Enver Dugolli, asked for an explanation from the\nminister Sve\u00e7la, why no indictment has been filed for the case of Banjska. He\nalso raised the issue of supplying patrol units with long guns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Regarding the attack in Banjska, Sve\u00e7la said\nthat it is high time for the Prosecutor’s Office to start filing indictments or\nat least a final report, adding that the international partners should also be\nofficially informed of what happened in the case of the attack in Banjska.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to him, the\nbest way to prevent these types of attacks from happening is to pursue those\nwho participated in this attack.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Among other things, he\nemphasized that the delays and tolerance from “someone else” has\nencouraged them to come and carry out the case in Banjska.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meanwhile, regarding long weapons, he said that\nthey are in the process, and that all patrols will be equipped with them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meanwhile, the PDK MP,\nRashit Qalaj, has expressed concern about the traffic situation. He has accused\nthe Ministry of Infrastructure of not being able to achieve the planned\nobjectives. Likewise, driving schools, according to him, should have a stricter\napproach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meanwhile, he said that the salary coefficient\nfor firefighters has not yet been adjusted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For this, Sve\u00e7la said that they will be managed\nand paid from the central level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He also said that they are reviewing their\ndemands with the Police Union, but reiterated that not all of their demands can\nbe fulfilled because the financial burden prevents them from doing so.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meanwhile, the chairman of this committee, Bek\u00eb\nBerisha, asked if the UK has any initiative to add any other privileges to the\nKP, as well as regarding emergencies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
