The former head of the\nOSCE mission in Kosovo, William Walker, has returned to the village of Re\u00e7ak on\nthis anniversary as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Walker said that every year, more people are\naware of what happened in Re\u00e7ak.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Further, Walker added that Kosovo is a history\nof successful democracy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
President Vjosa Osmani declared that the facts\nare more powerful than the ongoing Serbian propaganda. In the quarter century\nof the massacre of Re\u00e7ak, she added, the genocide in this village is a\npermanent reminder of the brutality against children, women, and men.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Furthermore, the president of the country\nemphasized that in this small village, in Re\u00e7ak, but with a great history,\ndefenseless and unarmed civilians were killed. Osmani emphasized that the\nfamilies of the massacred continue to bear the burden of the loss and pain of\ntheir family members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Prime Minister Albin Kurti also called for\njustice, where he emphasized that in the chronology of the history of\nmassacres, that of Re\u00e7ak is the most terrible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Kurti added that this massacre has left behind\nmany witnesses who speak the whole truth from the first shot to the attempt to\nhide and justify the crime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Mayor of Shtime Municipality, Qemajl Aliu,\nsaid that the terror of January 15, 1999 served as an alarm for Milosevic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Further, he added that Re\u00e7ak is both pride and evidence which cannot be denied or forgotten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
