In an interview for KosovaPress, Haxhiu also talks about the objections\nof some government MPs to the Civil Code. She says that during the year it will\nbe processed in the Assembly and that she expects it to be approved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She is not optimistic about the clarification of Astrit Dehari’s case,\nfor which she declares that only professional teams can handle this case.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The justice system is independent only on paper, says the Minister of\nJustice, Albulena Haxhiu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
While commenting on the reports with the Prosecutorial Council and the\nJudicial Council, she considers that this is happening because of the reforms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The most prominent problems, as Haxhiu points out, are within the\nprosecutorial system of Kosovo. She considers that in the last competitions,\nbargains have been openly displayed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the interview for KosovaPress, Minister Haxhiu adds that the Law on\nthe Prosecutorial Council of Kosovo is an important reform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Haxhiu also considers that the opposition has become an ally of the\nConstitutional Court.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Further, she adds that the Constitutional Court should not take a year\nfor important reforms, but these cases should be treated with priority. Not\nonly from the opposition, but the Civil Code is not being supported also by the\nmajority MPs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
While talking about the opposition, she also mentions the case of Astrit\nDehari, where she says that all those who were in the government seven years\nago are responsible, as she says, for the most serious murder in Kosovo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Haxhiu mentions the priorities and plans for 2024, where she states\nthat she will continue with the proceedings of laws related to justice reform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
